    Orders After Disconnecting

    Hello,

    Is there a way to place a buy stop order out on the market that when filled, will automatically place a stop loss order on the exchange, even when disconnected from Ninjatrader?

    E.g., I place a buy stop at 1800. The order is "Working". The internet goes down. The order fills and immediately places a sell stop below the entry price even though the internet is still down and NT is disconnected.

    Currently the ATM functionality is held locally on your PC therefore in order for the Stop Loss and Profit Target to be submitted once your entry order is executed NinjaTrader would need to be open and connected to your live account.

      Is there a way to set orders on NinjaTrader servers? I mean is there a way to set the orders on NT even if the Internet is down or the PC is off?

        Unfortunately we do not currently offer a server side option for the ATM functionality for users.

          Do you have any plans to do so in the near future? If not, can we submit a feature request for this?

          This basically means if you have a stop order(s) out on the market and your computer goes down, power goes out, NT crashes, internet goes out, etc., you could get into a position with no protective stop which is incredibly risky. There really should be an option to protect traders from events like these, which are not uncommon.
