Micro Crude Oil Futures (MCL)

Is it just me or is continuum not supporting MCL live data yet? I'm subscribed to NYMEX and CME but I am not getting any live data feeds for this product yet.

Please include attention Eleanore 3180830 in the subject line.

Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
• Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

Hi Elearnore, I deleted the NinjaTrader.sdf file and restarted the platform and it is now working. Not sure why it wasn't working before but seems to be not an issue anymore. Will follow above steps if it stops working again for some reason.

The steps to resolve this issue vary depending on which version of the platform you are using.

So I may accurately assist you, please answer the following question:

• What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.? or 8.0.?.?)

In NinjaTrader 8, the MCL has been programmed into the platform. If you wish to upgrade to NinjaTrader 8, please follow this link to upgrade:

• NinjaTrader Direct Download

In NinjaTrader 7, the MCL will have to be manually entered into the platform.

• Utilize the Control Center
• Select Tools
• Select Instrument Manager
• Select Add
• Add MCL in the Master Instrument
• Point value 100
• Exchange > Nymex
• Select Misc
• Enter symbol mapping pictured in attachments
• Select OK

Please note, the available providers under "Symbol map" will vary depending on the providers enabled for your license key.

You will now need to add this instrument to your list to utilize:

• Utilize the Instrument Manager
• Search MCL
• Select MCL in list
• Use < arrow to add to list
• Select OK

For other users who are wanting to utilize the MCL on NinjaTrader 8,

This instrument is prebuilt into the latest versions of NinjaTrader 8. It will likely be available under the Micro Instrument List prebuilt into the platform.

If it is not listed under your instrument lists, you can add it to a list by following these steps listed below:

• Utilize the Control Center
• Select Tools
• Select Instrument Lists
• Select the list you wish to add the MCL to
• Select "add" under the Instruments panel
• Type in MCL > Double click on the MCL Future Micro WTI Crude Oil Futures
• Select OK

You should now see the MCL listed with the current contract expiry under the instrument list you just modified for quick access to this instrument.

Please send us your log and trace files from the platform so that we may look into what occurred.

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.
