Historical Data Incorrect When Fast Forwarded

Hello,

I am having trouble while accessing historical data when using the playback feature. The data (2000 tick chart bars) appears correct up until the point when I fast forward to the market open (9:30 EST). I have confirmed my live data is correct, after comparing it to other charts. I have tried both the "Market Replay" and "Historical" settings under the Playback dialog box, with no success.

This makes it impossible to practice trading previous days.

Is there anything that needs to be reset to remedy this issue?

Have you tried downloading the historical data ahead of time?

Hello Tim,

Charts receive only realtime data from the Playback connection. Historical data that is loaded in the chart before you play or fast forward is loaded from historical data that is present in NinjaTrader. You can view what historical data you have present at Control Center-->Tools-->Historical Data-->Edit-tab. Could it be you don't have historical tick data present for the period in question?

You can download historical tick data at Control Center-->Tools-->Historical Data-->Load-tab-->Download while connected to a broker/data feed connection that provides the requested historical tick data.
