    NT8 never actually shuts down when I quit the program

    When I close my control panel and NinjaTrader 8 appears to be shutdown, I can look in my Task Manager hours later and see it is still running in the background. Almost 99% of the time that I close NT8 I have to then later go into the Task Manager to force it to stop running.

    What is going on here?

    Hello and Good Day, AstralTrader. I have had the same issue with my machine. When I tried to start NT8 after shutting it down and then tried to restart the program, without restarting my machine, I would an error message, and I closed all my other logged in programs and had to restart my machine. Couple of weeks ago, I discovered what you are mentioning above in the Task Manager, and then use the end Task function, and then I am able to start the program without restarting my machine. It is not your machine, but NT8, in my view.

      It would be unexpected for this to occur in general. I suggest first checking and installing any Windows updates if needed. If this persists and PC restart, please verify the NinjaTrader version in use via Help > About.

        NT version: 8.0.24.3 64-bit

        I'm using the latest version of Windows 10 Home with the latest updates. This has been happening since I started using NT8 about a month ago.
