OrderFlowVolumeProfile Plotting

Hello,

I have in a chart added OFVP for US-Equity-Index-Futures time (red colored profile) and another OFVP for customized "Only-Globex-Time" 17:00-9:30 with blue colored profile.

Sometimes it occurs that naked extended POC and/or VA stops plotting without price touched.

I show 2 examples in screenshot "...A" on July 27th and screenshot "...B" on August 17th.

What might be the reason that it stops plotting without price-touch?

Hello Tony,

If you test a chart with only 1 Order Flow Volume Profile indicator, does the issue persist?

Can you please tell me at what values the lines are plotted that experience the issue.

attached is a screenshot with only 1 OFVP indicator.
The values are plotted in the screenshot from the indicator and you see the date in the x-axis.

Thanks for your reply.
Based on all 3 screenshots, the plotting appears to be stopping consistently at the same time.
What time do you expect the plotting to stop vs how it is currently plotting?

I suggest reviewing the hours defined in the trading hours templates you are using.
This can be done by going to Control Center > Tools > Trading Hours.

Do you see that the plotting is stopping when price is touched, usually. Do you see it in the screenshot?
But there are days eg the 2 days I showed in the screenshots where lines stop plotting without price toch.

What is not clear in my description?

Hello Tony,

It looks like the issue is due to 2 things:

• The trading hours template on the chart does not match the trading hours template used by the volume profile. It could be that you selected RTH vs ETH or vice versa
• The time interval used in the chart does not match the volume profile is using. For example, in the last screenshot you provided, there is a 30 minute chart and the volume profile is 1 minute. Both the chart and the indicators time interval should match

Please verify your charts trading hours and time intervals match.

Thanks for your note.
Were you able to check that the trading hours on your chart and the indicator match?

The volume profile time interval needing to match would only be relevant if you are using multiple data series on your chart. If you not, you can simply skip this part.
