Economic News Window

Can I create a news window that shows the release times for the day's major US economic news reports?
I tried creating a new News window selecting ES from the drop down, but nothing showed.

Thank you for the question.

Within NinjaTrader, the News window is provided with its information from the Market Data connection that is currently in use.

If your Market Data Provider does not natively provide the News through its market data, then the News window will not show anything.

• Please reach out to your Broker or Market Data Provider and ask them if they are natively supplying News information through their Market Data Connection.

If your Market data provider does not provide the News within its connection and you would like to receive that information, please write in to PlatformSales[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]com for more information on the data supplied by different Market Data Providers and Brokers.

Here is a basic guideline of how to import NinjaScript add-ons in NinjaTrader 8:

Note — To import NinjaScripts you will need the original .zip file.

To Import:

1. Download the NinjaScripts to your desktop, keep them in the compressed .zip file.
2. From the Control Center window select the menu Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-on...
3. Select the downloaded .zip file
4. NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.

Critical - Specifically for some NinjaScripts, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of @SMA, @EMA, etc. and ask if you want to replace, press 'No'
