    emil alert not working

    Hi,
    I have set up an email alert for gmail. When I send a test email, I get it. The problem occurs when I set up an alert for a line crossing. So I get the audio and pop up dialog box but I can't get the emails. Where do I go wrong?

    Thank you for your post.

    I'd like to see how you have your alert action configured. Please navigate to Chart>Alerts>Actions>Share a Message>Edit and take a screenshot.

    To send a screenshot we recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool.

    Click here for instructions

    Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and attach it to your post.

      Hello Eduardo,
      thanks for the quick reply, please check the attachment.
      I also entered my email address in the "to" field, also without success.
      Maybe is it possible to send an email for all messages that appear "alert log"?
      This would be helpful as I have indicators that send a message to the alert log but don't have the email option in the settings.

        Thank you for your response.

        In response to your question about indicators without an email option, there is no built-in way to trigger an email from your Alert Log.

        Unless you are using a third-party indicator with email alerts in its settings, alert emails would need to be configured individually in the Alerts window with an alert action to send an email.

        The settings in your attachment do appear to be correct so I would like to investigate this further.

        Please send your log and trace files to us so that I may look into what occurred.

        You can do this by going to the Control Center>Help>Email Support

        Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

          In logs I found an error:
          " There was an error while sharing from the Share service Email: "The parameter 'address' cannot be an empty string. Parameter name: address"

            Thank you for writing in.

            This error appears when an alert email is configured with no recipient email address.
            I have attached a screenshot that highlights where you should enter an email address (You can use your own email address).

            Please enter an address into the 'To:' field and let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
