Addon Account Subscriptions and Orders

regarding addon functionality for accounts and orders. I have two questions that I can't find specific answers to in the NT8 learning guide.

1. can an instance of NT8 subscribe to more than one account at the same time? as an example, can i subscribe to sim101 and a live trading account at the same time?

• If we can't subscribe to multiple accounts at the same time, are we are able to pull position/performance data from more than one account even though we are not subscribed to the event notifications?

2. is there an example of how to manage orders in an addon that includes the following use case. I as because what i was able to find in the NT8 learning guide regarding change orders was a bit light, though I think i figured it out, I would just like to see if you have a recommended way of managing them.

• Create: sell, buy, sellshort, buytocover, stop, target
• Change: stops, targets
• cancel

Thank you for your post.

I don't understand what the terms "subscribe" and "event notification" are meant to represent in your question. Are you referring to submitting orders at the same time to two or more accounts? If so, this is not supported in NT 8.

Could you please send an image to clarify your inquiries?

Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

I don't see why not.

After subscribing to the event handlers for an Account,
just make sure you unsubscribe as well.

And, yes, using the Accounts interface, you can submit
orders to as many accounts as you would like. I mean,
that's exactly what a Trade Copier does.

As far as "managing" the orders, well, no -- that's why you
would subscribe to the imperial trifecta of event handlers,
OrderUpdate, ExecutionUpdate, and PositionUpdate,
because whatever order management you're looking to
impose will require your own advanced logic.
