    Empty Chart

    Hi! Im trying to trade on Ninja Trader and ever since I up updated my license key, nothing works. My charts are completely empty. My data series is Tick, 2000 and load data based on last 3 days, and nothing is showing up. I'll attach a picture here

    This is on my sim account, but my live account has the same issue.

    Thank you for your inquiry.

    This is an ES 06-21 chart. ES 06-21 expired several months ago. You will need to roll over to continue receiving real-time data.


    lease follow these steps to roll over the expiration date of a Futures contract:
    • Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Database window.
    • Left-click the ‘Rollover’ button that appears just below the table under the ‘Rollover futures instruments’ section.
    • Close this window when this process completes.

    To view contract rollover, expiry dates, and other trading events click the link below.Also, just for the record, your license key and your data are completely mutually exclusive items. Changing your license would not impact the data that you are able to see. Data comes from your brokerage connection. Your license key simply controls the features that are available on the software end.

      Thanks for your help! My chart is populating now. I still cant trade on it though. Even with my sim account, it says I need to upgrade my license.

        Thank you for your reply.

        It sounds as though you may be using a Free Edition license key. Chart Trader is not available with the Free Edition key. I'd recommend reaching out to platformsales(at)ninjatrader(dot)com via email to confirm this information.
