    License key injection

Quick question. I use a amazon workstation machine with my ninjatrader and every now and again the machine I'd changes and I have to enter back my credentials and ninja license key.

Can I set it up so that instead of using a default key. Ninja uses my key for the fall back.

Can I also inject my credentials so I don't have to reenter them?

Or can I stop amazon machine I'd from changing?

    What's that?

    ... (hastily searches internet) ...

Ah, that's just a virtual machine hosted by Amazon.

Your best bet is to inquire with Amazon how you can
keep the same virtual machine -- it sounds like they
keep spinning you a new one, causing you frustration,
I presume because the MachineId keeps changing.

Is there a way to never log off?

I presume your goal would be to stop/prevent the
recreation of a brand new workstation every time
    you login.

Perhaps an option to sleep or 'resume prior session'?

    Good luck!

      Hello richa61416,

When the machine ID is changed in NinjaTrader, it causes connection information to be removed as well as the license key as security measure. The Machine ID is generated using information about your hardware and BIOS. This Machine ID is meant to remain constant unless there has been a change with the system. You can find the machine ID at Control Center-->Help-->About.

Items that can cause the Machine ID to change:
      • Changes to hardware (network cards, MAC address, RAM, motherboard, monitors, graphic card, etc)
      • Changes / updates to BIOS
      • Changes to the Windows Product ID
      • Updates / upgrades / changes to the Windows operating system
      • Updates / upgrades / changes to Virtualization software
      • For security purposes, changes to the MachineID will result in vendor licensed scripts not validating in both NinjaTrader 7 and 8.
I suggest to check what change on the Amazon workstation machine causes the machine ID change in NinjaTrader and then check if it can be prevented.
