    Chart-Submitted OrderType

If an MIT Order is submitted on a chart (right-click, etc), the OrderType of the Order is Market, not MIT. Why?

Edit: Further information. This happens on an FXCM Demo account, but on a Sim account the OrderType is MIT as expected.

    Thanks.

Shawn, thanks for looking into this.

This manifests in an AddOn when using OnOrderUpdate where e.Order.OrderType shows the anomaly. The records in the trace and log files show MIT for both.

Furthermore, if an MIT Order is submitted via the AddOn, it is correctly reported in OnOrderUpdate. It is only when added on a chart and the account is a Demo account that this anomaly occurs.

      Files sent.

      Thanks.

        Hello Everyone,

To update this topic we have a pending ticket on the Development team's desk to address how MIT OrderTypes are reported.

The ticket ID is NTEIGHT-15077, and the number for this ID can be found in the Release Notes page of the Help Guide when a new release addresses the issue. Currently we cannot offer any ETA on release schedules as there are other development tasks involved with releases.
