    Interactive Broker Data Feed not streaming live

    I'm currently running an interactive broker data feed(which streams live on the IB platform). While NT loads a chart with current information, it doesn't update after the initial load, regardless of timeframe. Is there anything I'm doing wrong or don't have set properly? FYI--This is second NT system, my other one is using continuum & works great. Thanks in advance, Steve

    Hello Steve,

    Thank you very much for your post.

    The most common reason for this is if the installed TWS or Gateway version is not supported.

    Please ensure your TWS/Gateway's version is identical to the one listed in our Connection Guide:



    At the time of this post, this would be TWS 985.1g and Gateway 981.3c respectively.

    If you still experience this even with these versions, please ensure you receive real-time data for these instruments, as delayed data would not be supported.

    Please don't hesitate to let me know, should you have any further questions in this regard!

      The connection guide must be old. I don't show API type upon login. I've attached screen shot for you to see.

        Hello Steve,

        I just tested both listed versions and seem to have this option. Is it possible the installed version differs?

        As the "More Options" should appear underneath the visible part of your screenshot, it might also be possible the window needs to be resized.

            It is not listed under "more options". I have the latest version running of TWS.

                Hello Steve,

                As Interactive Brokers changed the way the API behaves, the most recent TWS version is no longer compatible with NinjaTrader and would not function.

                Please install the supported TWS or Gateway version from our Connection Guide - you should then no longer experience this issue.

                Please let me know, should this not work!
