General question about heiken ashi

The close price is the average of the OHLC of the bar.

If that's the case then how is it possible for a bar to close on the extreme?

Attaching a 3k volume HA chart on ES from just now that shows this happening.

Am I missing something? There must be more to the calculation.

Is there a place I can vote for them to add correct Heiken Ashi bars to the platform?

The indicator has been good except for the fact that HA bars use the greater of the current high or the open for a given bar, which throws off swing highs and lows (an issue for me since I use swings for trails).

We do not have an internal feature request to which votes could be added, however, our development team is tracking/working on this bug fix in an internal ticket.

We do not have any updates regarding the fix for Heiken Ashi bars at this time.

Deciding on features for future releases is not a simple black and white decision. There are many factors involved including but not limited to:

• Demand which is measured by objective user requests and subjective discretion on the part of our Product Management team.
• Feasibility
• Developer bandwidth
• Current projects in the queue
• Economics

You'll find a note regarding your feature request in the release notes when a feature is implemented.
