I need more years of Ticks Historical Data for Range Strategy Optimization.

Hello,

I'm trying to optimize my strategy on the following Instruments types ; Micro, Mini and Forex. in Range Bars-Type.

But I can't get more than 1 year Ticks Historical Data.

Is this a limitation from the provider or do I need any special subscription to get more years of ticks historical data ?

Welcome to the forums PrQuantumH!

Before running the Strategy Analyzer, it is best to connect to the data provider and test loading a chart that uses the same data separately, so you may confirm that the data is present.

Who is your data provider?

Do you see this with all symbols?

Do you see any errors in the log tab of the Control Center?

Please also make sure you are updated to Release 25. (Control Center > Help > About)

Broker/data feed:
NinjaTrader Continuum ( for Micros and Mini )
My NinjaTrader (For Forex)

The issue is not with opening a Range chart, but it is when I try to optimize the strategy on Range Bars type for the past 5 years, I only get results of the past 1 year.
Even when downloading the Ticks Historical Data using Tools>>Historical Data>>Load, I will get only the past year Ticks data and no more.

Our historical data servers are quoted to hold 1 year of tick data. NinjaTrader Brokerage connections through NinjaTrader Continuum and NinjaTrader FOREX data would use our historical data servers.

For some clarity on the Strategy Analyzer vs. a chart:

Opening a Range chart will request data just as the Strategy Analyzer would. In order for the Strategy Analyzer to perform complete backtests/optimizations, complete data is needed. Testing a chart can narrow our focus to the main issue: data.
