Hello Alesiosc,
Thank you for your message.
NinjaTrader 8 will only be able to connect to one Rithmic connection at a time. If these accounts are with the same broker, you may wish to reach out to them directly to see if you can combine both accounts under the same login allowing you to view and trade both of them simultaneously on NinjaTrader. If this is not possible, you will only be able to connect to one of these accounts at a time on NinjaTrader 8.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Here is a scenario that may interest you.
First, consider this:
NinjaTrader allows both NT7 and NT8 to be running at the
exact same time, with the exact same license key, on the
exact same PC. They allow you to make live trades in
both -- the issue is you can only connect to your trading
account once, regardless of whether NT7 or NT8.
But this leads to a very interesting product idea.
What if you had a TradeCopier product that supported
interoperability between NT7 and NT8?
Then suppose you had two different subscription accounts from
two different prop firms, ie, from Leeloo, Apex, and/or TopStep,
etc, all of which use Rithmic. You'd connect to one account via
NT8, and connect to the other account via NT7.
Do you see where I'm going with this?
For example,
What if you used NT8 for your leader account, let's say
it was using Leeloo. Just like NT folks say, NT8 can only
make one Rithmic connection at a time. But that's NT8.
So, let's use NT7 to make the other Rithmic connection
for your follower accounts. Let's say these follower accounts
were from Apex, which also uses Rithmic, same as Leeloo.
You'd run the TradeCopier 'Server' component on NT8
and it monitors the leader account, which is Leeloo.
You'd run the TradeCopier 'Client' component on NT7
which replicates the NT8 orders to your follower accounts
(which are all, say, Apex accounts) using the NT7 platform.
The TradeCopier Server monitors all order activity in
the leader account, connects via socket to the Client,
which is running inside an NT7 chart window as an
indicator. The TradeCopier Client replicates the order
activity to the designated follower accounts.
See that?
You're utilizing NT8 for your manual (or automated)
trading, all of which is transmitted to the TradeCopier
client running in NT7, which does the replication.
The point is, you may need a TradeCopier on NT8 that
is able to copy trades down to NT7.
This setup does not violate the NinjaTrader license.
That is, live trading on both platforms which are running
simultaneously on the same machine has always been
allowed. The limitation is the connection to your trading
account, which can only be done once.
If a TradeCopier product which has full support for both
NT7 and NT8 (including full interoperable support for the
scenario I outlined above) sounds interesting to you, then
perhaps I can help you.
I am interested in finding customers and early adopters
for just such a product.Last edited by bltdavid; 03-29-2022, 08:48 PM.
