Numbers of bars visible on chart

is there a way/indicator/plot which can show how many bars are visible on a chart?

Thank you for the post.

NinjaTrader doesn't have any default indicators that would plot the number of visible bars on the chart, but this indicator is publicly available on our NinjaTrader Ecosystem website and prints a number below each bar letting you know how many are on the chart:

There are other, similar indicators available on the User App Share as well.

Here is a basic guideline of how to import NinjaScript add-ons in NinjaTrader 8:

Note — To import NinjaScripts you will need the original .zip file.

To Import:

1. Download the NinjaScripts to your desktop, keep them in the compressed .zip file.
2. From the Control Center window select the menu Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-on...
3. Select the downloaded .zip file
4. NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.

Critical - Specifically for some NinjaScripts, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of @SMA, @EMA, etc. and ask if you want to replace, press 'No'

Once installed, you may add the indicator to a chart by:

• Right-click your chart > Indicators... > Select the Indicator from the 'Available' list on the left > Add > OK

this is not exactly what i am looking for , this shows the number of bars from the beginning of the session, i am looking for an indicator which shows the number of bars visible on the chart .... ideally if the user scroll the chart the indicator should update .... see attached

Thank you for the reply, I am able to see them now.

Unfortunately I was unable to find any free indicators on our User App Share that would achieve this. All of the indicators I could find count the number of each bar within the chart, rather than showing a cumulative total.

That being said, what you describe would certainly be possible with custom programming if you have any experience in that field. Otherwise, other users can feel free to chime in if they are aware of any indicator that would accomplish this.
