How do I highlight the pre-and aftermarket sessions on the chart?
How can I easily distinguish between the main market which is 9:30 AM Eastern to 4 PM Eastern New York time. Think or swim highlights the pre-and aftermarket sessions even on the futures market. Is there a way to do this on ninja? I want to be able to easily identify the overnight sessions versus the day session.1 Photo -
There are 3 approaches which have different features.
You can:
- use the Trading Hours Template approach which allows you divide a Data Series into time periods (pre-, RTH & after-, or whatever you like & designate what is EOD).
You can use a Separator vertical line
- add additional Data Series with different Trading Hours templates (& as above as well)
- use and Add-on indicator which allows division of the Chart Panel by time period (rather than being tied to the Data Series Trading Hours Templates(s)) and allows shading of the periods, High/Low boundaries etc. Search the Ninja Add-ons micro site. Examples include ‘Sessions’, ‘Repeater’ & others.
