Upgraded NT8 but my strategies gone not available.

    Upgraded NT8 but my strategies gone not available.

    I upgrade NT8, but my strategies not available when charting, i just see sample strategies on menu.
    Hope didn't lose my settings !

    Thank you very much for your post.

    Upgrading from one NinjaTrader 8 to a newer NinjaTrader 8 version should never cause your strategies to disappear.

    Could you please send me your platform's log & trace files? I can then assess why this might have occurred.

      Hello Manfred. how can i upload the log trace files. İf i click upload log files on help>email support window, it just sends them automatically?
      By the way, my strategy available on NT editor, but it is not available on chart menu.

            Thank you for your message.


            Please double-check your email for the response we sent directly to you. Here is the first message we sent for your reference.


            It looks like the upgrade may be having trouble reading your strategies. Let's check to make sure everything is compiling correctly, and if not, we can send you the steps to easily fix any compile errors and use all your strategies normally again.

            To begin resolving this, do the following:
            • Go to the Control Center > New > NinjaScript Editor
            • Right-click in the NinjaScript Editor > select 'Compile'

            You should see some errors in orange appear at the bottom of the window. Expand this window so that as many of these errors, if not all of them, are visible. Expand the error message itself as much as possible. Please send a screenshot of these errors, and we will be able to send you the steps to resolve them.

            To send a screenshot with Windows 10 or newer I would recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool.Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save it as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

              Hello, JustinD,

              I couldn't find the email. Anyway...
              I have 2 strategies.I see same ''list converter'' error in all lines. Code. CS0246. I couldn't expand the error file. But all errors are same lines start from 120s to 500s.
              MurphyChannelFibsMarket.cs,and MurphyFibsMarket.cs

                Thank you for that screenshot.


                Steps to Resolve
                1. Right-click within the NinjaScript Editor window and select "References".
                2. Click "Add".
                3. Locate the .dll file for the file mentioned in the error.
                4. Click "Open" to add the reference.
                5. Click "OK" and recompile.

                Once these errors are resolved and no more appear, you will be able to use, edit, and import strategies on your platform normally again.

                  Hi,
                  My Strategies name were;
                  MurphyChannelFibsMarket.cs,and MurphyFibsMarket.cs
                  I do not see .dll file belong to those names.
                  Is it NinjaTraderCustom.dll? or NinjaTraderVendor.dll?

                    Have you resolved all of the compile errors listed in the NinjaScript Editor even if those strategies are not mentioned there? If so, double-check to see if they are available on the platform again. If they are still not listed, you may wish to try reimporting them again if you do not see them on the platform, or if you can remove and reimport them.
