Ninjatrader Error with Windows 11 Update KB5013943

    Ninjatrader Error with Windows 11 Update KB5013943

    Hi,

    NinjaTrader wouldn't open after Windows 11 Update KB5013943. Error screenshot attached. Tried both 8.0.25.0 and 8.0.26.0. Can't install/uninstall/update the software either as long as the update is installed. I have uninstalled the update for now to make it work but since it's a cumulative update, wouldn't be advisable to block it for long. Please report the issue and advise a solution.

    Thank you for your post and for providing such detailed information.

    It appears that this is something that is affecting a whole host of various programs that utilize the .NET Framework within Windows 11, not just NinjaTrader. Unfortunately, you are the first to report this to us so we don't really have a solid workaround/fix to recommend aside from uninstalling the update but I was able to find an article that mentions enabling all of the .NET 3.5 and .NET 4.8 components in the Windows Features window.     Ultimately, it's likely that Windows will need to release of patch to resolve the issue but please let us know if enabling/reinstalling all of the various .NET 3.5 and .NET 4.8 components resolves the issue when/if you get a chance to test it.

    Lastly, I am reporting this to our Development team as well, so that if there are any solutions that we can implement in a future release of NinjaTrader, we make sure to do that.

      Hi, do we know if this problem has been fixed? Microsoft has released 7-8 releases after that (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...se-information). Is it now OK for NT8 users to upgrade to Windows 11? Thanks

        Thank you for the post.

        At this time we have not seen any reports of this issue or any similar issues since the most recent Windows fixes.

        The latest version of NinjaTrader (8.0.26.1) now supports Windows 11.
