Difference between log files in /Trace directory

Quick question regarding the two "types" of log files stored in the /NinjaTrade 8/Trace directory:

What is the difference and use intent between the trace.* versus the CQG.Continuum.* files?

I note that the trace.* log is somewhat more detailed with more granular timestamps and library references whereas CQG.Continuum.* is an xml messages log, seemingly. I just wanted to get a better understanding of how each is intended to be utilized, how they relate to eachother, etc.

Thank you very much for your post.

The trace file is created by the NinjaTrader platform and details all actions it takes in more detail than the log file does (Documents\NinjaTrader 8\logs). For example, it would contain more detailed order submission information, should an issue with an order occur, and often includes detailed error messages if a script reports a problem.

The CQG.Continuum log is a log file containing the communication between the local NinjaTrader platform and CQG's servers after you connect through the NinjaTrader Continuum connection.

This highly technical, provider-specific log file contains much less human-readable information but can still be useful if you've experienced very specific issues with your connection. For E.g. it records any delay it recognizes.

In most cases, you may find 90% of the information you need when errors or issues are being reported, or when you want to track down exactly how an order executed in the log files. The trace files would become relevant if you need more detailed information, e.g. the detailed error message for a third-party script, whereas the CQG log files can usually be ignored, as any issues reported therein should also appear in the log/trace files.
