Micro E-Minis? Code for the chart?

According to the CME, the code for the Micro eminis is currently: MESU2 (September) yet I can't find this in the drop down chart thing.

Any idea?

Correct within NinjaTrader the symbol used is MES 09-22 which can be selected by going to the Instrument drop down menu->Micros->MES 09-22.

Possibly that you haven’t rolled over the Instruments which automatically updates the list to current front month, iirc.
FYI - if you just type MES 09-22 with cursor in your chart pane, it will load without clicking through drop-down menus.

Please follow these steps to roll over the expiration date of a Futures contract:

• Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Database window.
• Left-click the ‘Rollover’ button that appears just below the table under the ‘Rollover futures instruments’ section.
• Close this window when this process completes.

I pressed rollover and this is what happened - which is nothing essentially. I don't have a connection to IB currently either, might be the problem.

After rolling over your contracts if you then go to the Instrument drop down->Micros you should then see the new expiries listed such as MES 09-22, MNQ 09-22, etc.

No I'm still seeing the old contracts for March. I think this must have something to do with not being able to connect to IB yet (my data will be coming from IB, not Kinetick)

You will not need to be connected to rollover contracts. Please rename your database with the steps below.

• Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
• Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 8--> db--> "NinjaTrader.sdf" file (may only say 'NinjaTrader' depending on your Windows File Explorer settings)
• Right click on NinjaTrader.sdf and select "Rename" *Name it "OLDNinjaTrader.sdf"
• Then restart the software and NinjaTrader will create a fresh database file to use
• Unfortunately the following items stored in the old database will be lost - Trading Hours templates, Instrument Lists / Custom Instruments, historical trade execution data, saved Strategy Analyzer backtest results
• Open NinjaTrader

OK - did all that, re-rolled over the contracts and checked the dropdown and now have MES 09-22 so that is good. However, due to the inability to connect to IB properly and thus get data, I still have no charts etc. But I have already emailed Chris in support with log and trace files.
