    Error messages from removed indicator

    I keep logging errors on an indicator I have deleted.

    can you assist?

    What errors?
    Please post screenshots so we can see the error.

    How did you remove the indicator?
    I mean, what steps did you take -- exactly?

    Have you recompiled since removing?
    [Recompiling should update the required DLLs.]

    Have you restarted NinjaTrader since recompiling?
    [Restarting will guarantee all charts use the updated DLLs.]

    Make sure the removed indicator is removed from all charts,
    you should have already done this yourself, lest NT complain.

    Not all of these steps may be necessary, it just depends on
    the indicator -- and, for ex, if you have the source code or not,
    whether the indicator came with an installer, etc.

        See screenshot - Risk working is the indicator that is causing the issue.

        I right clicked in the indicator and panel and clicked remove.

          The indicator must be applied somewhere in the NinjaTrader platform for the error to occur. Can you please check all NinjaTrader windows that are opened if they have the indicator applied. Check the NinjaTrader windows of workspaces opened in the background. These are the workspaces with a grey icon in front at Control Center-->Workspaces.

          If you can't find it, I suggest to proceed as follows.
          • Create a new workspace by clicking new in the lower right corner at Control Center-->Workspaces.
          • Close all other workspaces.
          • Restart NinjaTrader and I assume the error does not happen.
          • Open your workspaces one by one and check each time if the error is reported in the Control Center-->Log-tab.
          This should allow you to determine what workspace has the indicator applied. Please check all windows of this workspace for this indicator and remove it.

            Thanks. I found the rogue workspace. My indicator was not listed but the minute I removed the workspace the error stopped so issue resolved.
