    Connection lost to the historical data server

    Its constantly something broken or wrong.
    I cant connect to the servers or even connect to playback.
    Whats wrong? thanks

      Hello,

      Thank you for your post.


      Sounds like you got it resolved.


      If you continue to experience the same, the first thing I would recommend doing is shutting down NinjaTrader, restarting your computer and restarting your modem/router.

      If you have an antivirus/firewall installed you will want to add NinjaTrader to its exceptions list.

      Also, ensure that your computer is not turning off your Network Adapter to conserve power:
      • Right-click on your Start button
      • Select 'Device Manager'
      • Expand 'Network Adapters'
      • Right-click on your Network Adapter and select Properties > Power Management
      • Uncheck 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' option
      • Click 'OK' to save the changes
      • Do this for all Network Adapters



      Please make sure you are on the latest version of NinjaTrader 8.0.26.1 (Help>About).

      Before updating the platform, please export a backup file with your settings, by going to NinjaTrader 8>Control Center>Tools>Export>Backup File. Please follow this link for more details: https://ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt8//backup__restore.htm

      To update NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below:
      • First, copy your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
      • Click on the link: https://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
      • Enter your license key and press Submit
      • Select 'Download'
      • Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.
