Number of tick from starting position

Hello!

I have an automated strategy that put my SL and TP at 8 ticks from my entry point.

I find it very difficult if I want to change my TP and put it at 12 ticks because the little counter tool gives me the number in relation to the current price and not my entry price.

Is there any way around this? Is there anything that would show me the TP in relation to my entry point and not the current price?

By TP are you referring to SetProfitTarget(CalculationMode.Ticks, 12); ?

What little counter tool? NinjaTrader does not provide this unless you are referring to the Ruler drawing tool.

If you are referring to the Ruler drawing tool, did you set the first anchor to the position average price?

I was wondering if this counter from my take profit could be in relation to my entry price instead of the current moving price.

My ATM strategy put my TP and SL at +10 ticks and minus 10 ticks respectively. If I want to move the TP and put it at 18 ticks from my entry it is hard to do in real-time in the middle of a trade because that little counter (in the circle) gives me the difference in ticks from the current price and not my entry price.

When changing a price of an order, the order line tag will show the distance from the orders working price, not from the current market price. Unfortunately, there would not be a way to change that.

The -18 that you see in my black circle, constantly moves with the current price even if I do not move the line tag. So it is in relation to the current market price. I could not move the line and the number would be -400 if the price moves very far. It is not in relation to my entry price which is a shame because it is hard to move it to a set number of ticks once in a trade.

So there is no workaround for that?
