    update to 8.0.1.0 dialog message seemingly hanging environment

    This issue started when I began to receive the update dialog box for NT8.

    I leave the system running for hours.

    I recall with previous versions of NT I would get multiple upgrade dialogs, not just one. I would need to close them all before I could work with the system.

    With NT8, after letting the system run for hours and then closing the displayed update dialog, the system will not let me work with any other window. It behaves as if there are still other non visible dialog box.

    The only solution I have found for this is to kill NT8 via the task manger

    Its the same behavior observed when you have the indicator dialog open on chart A and try to access Chart B

    I am running windows 10

    I do not know if this will do it again, as I have now upgraded and I clicked the check box to not show the update dialog again

In your message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace files. You will find these diagnostic file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > Trace folder. I will need to review a copy of the files which are named 'trace.20161115XXXXX.txt'.

      8.0.2.0 just came out and my environment did it again.

      This time I did not check the box to not show again. I will see if this repeats overnight tonight.

        Thanks for replying.

        I would be happy to check into this item to see if it is related to the past behavior originally mentioned in this thread. Could you please send me your log and trace files from within the platform? This can be done under Help -> Email Support.

        Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

        Please also include "ATTN: Drew" in the body of the email.
