    Strateger Analyzer Date Range Error

    Attached are two screen shots where I back test a strategy from 1/3/16 to 11/21/16.

    When I switch over to Analysis($) display, the results only go to the week of 10/3/16.

    Why?


    I'm using NT8.0.1 on Windows 7 VMware MacBookPro.

    Thanks for your post.

    As a test, please run the strategy SampleMACrossover over the same period and bar type. This strategy is always in and will always place trades. This test would verify that you have the needed tick data for the renko bars.

      Attached are the screen shots of the Sample MA Crossover strategy using the same date range. Again, the results end at the week of 10/3/16.

        Thank you for your response.

        Please advise who you connect to for data.
        In addition, go to Tools > Historical Data Manager > Edit > ES 12-16 > and look to see if you have the data for the week(s) after the date it ends in the Strategy Analyzer.
        Do you see any trades in the days after 10/3 in your Trades Display?

          I connect to CQG for live data, I'm not sure if I answered your first question correctly. Attached is a screenshot for your second question.

            Thanks for your reply.

            The screenshot shows that you only have a limited amount of tick data to test with. You can download more so that the strategy analyzer can process as expected.

              OK thank you. I certainly have enough replay data. One would think the strategy analyzer can use replay data OR historical data for its analysis but that' not the case. OK, I will download historical data...

                Thanks for your reply.

                Correct, market replay data is not the same as historical data and the strategy analyzer would not be able to use market replay data.
