    MarketAnalyzer templates: vanishing colors

This has been a problem for quite a while: http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ad.php?t=81962

The issue has changed a bit: it looks correct upon loading the template, but saving and reopening the containing workspace reveals that the colors did not stick. To reproduce:
    • Customize the colors of a MarketAnalyzer indicator column and save it as a template
    • Create a new workspace, place a new MarketAnalyzer and load your template.

It looks fine, but looks can be deceiving.
    • Save and close the workspace.
    • Open the workspace again and the customized colors supposedly loaded from the template have reverted to their defaults, e.g., Transparent background and While foreground.
    • Inspect the columns to verify that your customized colors are gone.

The tedious workaround is to edit the colors again and save the workspace. Evidently, the workspace will retain the correct colors only if you have set them manually in its MarketAnalyzer, but not if you've simply loaded them from a template.

    Hello,

When testing this on my end I was unable to reproduce the issue with the steps provided and when opening the saved workspace all color parameters remained visible in the Market Analyzer window and in the column settings.

Can you tell me what version of NinjaTrader 8 you have installed which can be found under Help->About.

      8.0.2.0 64-bit (Multi-Broker)
Further investigation indicates that the addition of some conditions leads to the missing colors when the conditions are false.
      To test:
      1. New workspace
      2. New MarketAnalyzer: instrument ES 03-17
      3. Add an indicator column: VOLMA
      4. Set its background color to: Goldenrod
      5. Set its foreground color to: Black
      6. Configure two conditions:
        1. greater equal 5000
          1. background color: Cyan
          2. foreground color: Black

        2. less 200 (or any number that will make the condition false)
          1. background color: Red
          2. foreground color: Black

      7. Click OK and then Save as a template
      8. Close the workspace without saving
      9. New MarketAnalyzer: instrument ES 03-17
      10. Load the template
      11. Save and close the workspace
      12. Reopen the workspace.

The Goldenrod background color has become Transparent; the foreground color White.

After further testing I was able to reproduce this on my end without needing the Cell Conditions configured. I have forwarded this to our development team and will follow up once I gather additional information.
