      Thanks, fredfred!

Vote added. We're taking all of the feedback provided regarding this change into consideration, however, there is no timeline on when or if this will be changed.

When a feature request is implemented, you'll find it in the release notes: http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG...ease_notes.htm

Even my MT4 account has server side order functionality. How can it be that NT8 doesn't?
Very strange. NT will be losing a bit of custom with this omission.
It must be said Ninjatrader is an amazing program with a lot of depth to its versatility, but having said that, server-side bracket submission is a fundamental element that protects the trader from risks of system breakdowns and should be treated with some urgency.

Noting that the votes have been going on for some considerable time, over a year now I wonder if there is some greater technical difficulty or lack of urgency to implement this most important feature.

Ninjatraders response of " all in good time " is costing sales, as we have read in this thread that not having this feature is putting off potential sales.
The recent updates have included nice features such as order flow indicators which are very useful, but I feel a lack of priorities in so much as giving some protection to risk for traders.

It would be good if Ninjatader could recognize the importance of this feature.

This is an important topic with a lot of customer feedback and for that, it is appreciated. I would like to provide some perspective:
          1. Entry, stop and target orders are always working live at the exchange
          2. Through the overwhelming majority of our technology providers (CQG/Continuum included) OCO link between stop and target orders (that are at the exchange) are held server-side
This thread is about having the stop and target order instruction submitted to a server alongside the entry order. Such feature removes risk that stops and targets are not submitted upon entry order fill in the event that your PC, internet connection or NinjaTrader becomes unexpectedly unavailable. While a legitimate concern and a plausible scenario, one must assess the risk itself. In 14+ years of service, hundreds of thousands of traders and hundreds of millions trades, such scenario is truly a corner case that rarely occurs.

That being said, if we could easily implement this, we would. The difficulty is that NinjaTrader itself is only a desktop application and not a server application and thus server-side brackets with the advanced functionality of an ATM strategy is currently not possible.

I see that there is still no sight of server side bracketed order submission!

you have said that currently this can't be done, but surely if there was enough will to sort this out it could be done.

The current position is that an order is sent to your broker with out the STOP and PROFIT order, so id you have any kind of interuption in internet or computer failure these order will not be implemented.

The comment that this rarely occurs is unbeleivable. It happens a LOT, and can be devastating and deeply worrying.

NT is a desk top application and is capable of sending orders to the brokers server, they need to be bracketed so the stop and Take profit orders are sent too.

Can you experts at NInjatrader not figure this one out ?

Server side brackets is a feature that needs to be supported by our technology providers, such as CQG. If they support it then we could support it. NinjaTrader is not a server side application thus we don't control that part of the electronic trading chain.
