Constructing 70 tick bar charts (EUR/USD) in NT8

Hello everyone,

I have CSV files with tick data on EUR/USD.

I would like to use this to build a 70 tick bar chart (instead of say 1 min bars or 5 minute bars) and do historical replay in NT8.

Could you please outline the basic steps to do so?

(for ex, I think I must convert the CSV file).

Historical data can be imported from a text file with a ".txt" extension within the Load tab of the Historical Data Window. Several formats and data types are supported and NinjaTrader can optionally build 'Minute' bars from tick data.

Select the option under Tools > Historical Data > Load > Import to convert the tick data from the import file into historical 'Minute' data. This allows any 'Minute' interval to be available within NinjaTrader.

But would it be possible to display tick charts not minute bars?

Yes - Once you import the historical data, you can create a tick-based chart with a tick value of your choosing. Change the 'Type' to 'Tick' and the 'Value' to your desired tick value. Here is the help guide section on creating a chart:
