Connecting to IB with sub account

Hi,

I have a main IB account with one sub account. In NT 7, if I connect to main one via TWS, I can see both of them and trade simultaneously.

In NT 8, I can only see the main one, not sub one. How to fix that?

Unfortunately, support for this account type in NinjaTrader 8 was ended. Here is the IB Connection Guide, in the guide it states that: Interactive Broker “linked accounts” are not supported.

Is the support for IB sub-account still not available for NT8? Do I need to use NT7 if I need to access my IB sub-accounts?

Hello Billy,

From my understanding the sub-accounts should be shown and tradable. Note, that the sub accounts should be directly traded, as placing orders that are replicated to other accounts is not supported.

Thank you for your quick response, I have a follow-up question. I have multiple copies of the multi-brokers NT8 licenses, can I log into the same IB main account (it has many sub-accounts) from different copies of my NT8? Or do I log in using each individual IB sub-account login/password? Thank you

You can import the license in the Client Portal.

Yes, you can login to your account on any machine and have the account enablements activated by the license key available, as well as up to two computers simultaneously.
