Thank you for your reply.
We were able to look into this item further on our end; the data should be able to be manually exported then imported using the Historical data windows.
NinjaTrader 7 Exporting:

NinjaTrader 8 Importing

Thank you for your reply. No, testing on my end, the data will show 0 items with the renamed file.

Can NT8 read data file renamed from NT7 extension ''ntd'' to ''ncd'' than export and import data?

After further research, it is not possible to use the migration process to migrate pre-2000 historical data from NT7 into NT8. However, it is possible to manually export and then manually import pre-2000 historical data:
Exporting data from NinjaTrader 7
Importing data into NinjaTrader 8

1. Historical data (min & day) for all instruments (custom & default futures, indices, stock, forex) are migrated successfully with confirmation message in log
2. All data (min & day) earlier than year 2000 are not migrated
3. No error message
4. No connection is required
5. Migration is from NT 7.0.1000.34 to NT 8.0.14.1
Please advice, thank you.

Hello garfielalvin,
Thank you for your post. It would be unexpected for older data not to be included in the migration.
Did you note if historical data was listed in the migration confirmation box? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?
What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.X.0)
Who are you connected to? This is displayed in green on lower left corner of the Control Center window.
What instrument (and expiry if applicable) have you selected?
(For a chart) what interval is selected?
We look forward to assisting further.

Just migrate from NT7 to NT 8.0.14.1, it seems that historical data (day & minutes) older than year 2000 are not migrated into NT8. Is it by design ? If yes, how can all historical data older than year 2000 be migrate into NT8? Please advice, thank you.

Hello klior14,
Thank you for your post,
Rather than manually exporting / importing, I suggest using NinjaTrader 8's Migration process to get the historical data into NinjaTrader 8.
The Migration process will prompt when NinjaTrader 8 is first launched on a PC with NinjaTrader 7 installed. You can have the migration run again by closing NinjaTrader 8 re-naming the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > "Config" file to "config.old" and restarting.
See below link to our Migration Guide for more information.

We look forward to assisting further.
