Kinetick Adapter freezes after disconnect

I had already come up with this subject several times, but I cannot access the various beta threads anymore where it has been discussed as the beta threads are closed.


NinjaTrader 8 adapter freeze:

When the PC is in sleep mode or when there is an internet disconnect, the Kinetick adapter freezes and can no more be reanimated.

Only way out is to shut down NinjaTrader 8 and restart it.

I am having this problem about every second day.


No problems with NinjaTrader 7:

With NinjaTrader 7 everything is fine. After a disconnect, it automatically reconnects and works as before. With NinjaTrader 8 after a disconnect the adapter is frozen and you need to shut down NinjaTrader 8.


Please fix the bug!

In my opinion this behaviour of NinjaTrader 8 is not acceptable. Support has not yet dealt with my bug report and the bug reports of other users, and I invite you to fix the problem!

NinjaTrader 7 and NinjaTrader 8 do not support the use of the PC's Hibernation or Sleep mode.This has been known to cause issues, specifically with connections and the ability to reconnect. For this reason we recommend disabling this feature in the PC's settings when using NinjaTrader.

With NinjaTrader 7 there was a disconnect, but the adapter would not freeze.

However, NinjaTrader 8 has the adapter frozen and requires a restart.

I am just asking to get back to the performance of NinjaTrader 7, without the requirement to restart the program.

Can you clarify - does the issue persist if you disable your laptop's hibernate/sleep settings?
