    8.0.3.0 Commission Template Error Message

    After upgrading NT8 to 8.0.3.0 from 8.0.2.0, on program startup, the "Unable to locate or copy commission templates" error message pops up, and the process stops. Click OK and the startup process closes. In the NinjaTrader 8 file directory, in folder templates\Commission, the three commission templates (Direct, Lease, and Lifetime) are there. Any suggestions?

In your message please include a link to this forum thread and a copy of today's trace files. You will find these diagnostic file in the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > Trace folder. I will need to review a copy of the files which are named 'trace.20170109.XXXXX.txt'. There will likely be multiple files for each day.

      That C:\Program Files (x86)\ . . . path is not the correct path to the install location, which is unchanged from the 8.0.2.0 install location.

        After uninstalling 8.0.3.0, rebooting, and reinstalling (to the same path location), NT8 8.0.3.0 started normally and connected to data without any error messages. (tested on two PCs)

        My observation is that 8.0.3.0 installs differently than prior versions. If 8.0.3.0 is installed to a path location other than the default (other than C:\Program Files (x86) \NinjaTrader 8\), and there is a prior NT8 version installed there, then the commission template error will be encountered on 8.0.3.0 startup, and an uninstall, reboot, and reinstall will be required.

          They still have not fixed the problem with Backup/Restore not Restoring Templates as well.
          If you use global draw Tools in your indicators you are forced to create Templates for those commands which are then Not restored after backup.

            Ditto the above issue. Same log and trace file entries.
            Uninstall, reboot, reinstall, as suggested, solved the issue.

              Specifically with drawing tool templates, this is being tracked internally as NTEIGHT-11028
