Printing Charts: NT8 inferior to NT7 ?

    Printing Charts: NT8 inferior to NT7 ?

    Am i doing something wrong ?

    In NT8 to print a chart i have to:

    1. Click to Hide Chart Trader
    2. Ctrl-P
    3. Change printer preferences to landscape
    4. Click Print
    5. Click to Unhide Chart Trader

    NT7
    1. Ctrl-P
    2. click Print

    Also my NT7 charts fill the entire page and are sharper. NT8 charts print slightly blurred on same printer and don't fill entire page.

    Is there a way to print a landscape chart in NT8 in fewer steps ? Is there a way to increase clarity of NT8 charts ?

    Thank you for your post,

    I suggest to right click on the chart > Image > Save As...

    This will allow you to create a .jpg file of the chart itself to print, which will likely give you greater control of the size and clarity when printed.

      Thanks for the suggestion Eric. Could you please let the developers know it would be great if they could improve the size and ease of printing charts so it is as simple as in NT7

          Thanks Alan. One other suggestion would be regarding entering and editing of text on charts. This is another area that was visually much easier to do in NT7. I've got to assume that anybody that compares the two programs would much prefer NT7 for adding/editing text.

            Thank you for taking the time to provide us with the feedback to aid with improving NinjaTrader. Since the type of functionality you are seeking is not presently supported within NinjaTrader, I have documented this particular feature request and have sent it to our product development team and they have designated SFT-1865 as the identification number so this request may be tracked.

            I will also be submitting your request to have the entering and editing of text be more similar to NinjaTrader 7 and will update this thread with the tracking number once it is provided.
