Cannot open a chart text box for editing

i have a chart text box [created by right click on chart/Drawing Tools/Text]
on an NT8 chart. i am well practiced with editing text box text by selecting the
box and then clicking on a corner to enable editing.

However, i have been unsuccessful in opening up a text box for editing on a
current new chart i have just created.

note: this is my first chart text box experience with NT8.

please advise.

To confirm, you have a text drawing object on the new chart. When this is clicked on, the selection anchors are not appearing, is this correct?

NOT CORRECT.
the selection anchors do appear, but then when i click on a selection anchor in an attempt to ''grab'' the anchor to change the text box size i am unable the do so [i.e.] the mouse won't ''grab'' the anchor.

A Text drawing object cannot be resized.

This can be moved but the size is determined by the amount of text. It will automatically adjust to show all of the text.

i was not thinking clearly so have confused the issue. what i really want to do is to open the text box for editing and i have not been able to do so.

In NT8 the chart text editing behavior has changed.
