missing bars?

for some reason my charts always seem to have missing bars?

on my 15m chart for ZF

it shows close at 16:00, then the next bar is time at 10:45


My data's time seem to be off as well,
is there a way that i can erase the data and get them
corrected by connecting to live data feed?

Hello Shienri,
There are several items that can cause gaps within charts. Can you please clarify what your session template currently is? You will find this within the Data Series.
Can you please also test with the Default 24/7 session template?
To retrieve 24/7 data on a chart, please follow the directions below.

Right click in your chart and select Data Series.

In the Data Series menu, set the "Trading hours" property to 'Default 24/7', then click OK.




To remove the historical data from NinjaTrader please do the following:

Removing Historical Data

Once the data has been deleted close NinjaTrader. Open the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\cache folder. Select all files then right mouse click and select “delete.”

Open NinjaTrader and connect to your data provider. Open an new chart.

Hi Ryan,

i am currently using the instrument setting,
which is = cbot interest rate ETH

seems like the 24-7 setting solves the problem,
but it will affect my OHLC indicator right?

since the program will treat OHLC based on the
session template right?

ok, so after i off my NT8, and
later i log back in.

I have the issue of the bar ending at 23:00 and
the next bar is at my current time,
with all the bats in between missing.

i took a trade in the morning at 1.46 AM and closed
at 2:16 at price 230 -> 227 on ZF.

so the trade cannot be found on the chart with the missing bars.

and then after i disconnect, the trade label would then appear in the chart on the
last bar.

it then becomes a problem which i wont know
where the prices have been,
since the price that my trade was at was below the
price on the chart which i am seeing now.

basing on the chart i am seeing lowest price at 232,
but my trade was done at 227.

please help

Hello Shienri,
You are correct the OHLC will change due to session templates and report to the OHLC of the full 24 hours instead of the ETH template settings.

Can you please clarify what your chart parameters are currently set to? (Min, Tick, Volume, etc)

i have charts in 5, 15, 240 and 2 range.

it seems like the missing bars were sort of combined into a single bar or something.

Couldnt really figure it out.

Hello Shienri,
You can remove your historical data by going to Documents > NinjaTrader 7or 8 folder > db > remove all folders within this section. Please do not remove the NinjaTrader file within this folder.
