Data from January 2017 is missing from GC 04-17 futures contract

    Data from January 2017 is missing from GC 04-17 futures contract

    Hello,

    I am trying to open a chart with historical data for current GC futures contract (GC 04-17).

    For some reason the data from Dec.30 2016 to Jan.29 2017 is completely missing.
    I have tried to load it multiple times. Restarted both NT and my PC.
    Tried 'Reload all historical data'. Tried Repair DB. Tried different time frames and type of charts.
    Nothing works, in all my attempts Jan.30 comes immediately after Dec.29.

    What is interesting that on older GC contract (GC 02-17) this problem does not show up. I can see Jan.2017 data there. But it is not the data I need.

    At this point I cannot find a problem on my end.

      Hello,

      Thanks for posting.

      As FMtrader mentioned in his previous post, is there a GC 03-17 contract present in your database?

      To check this, please navigate to Tools-->Instruments. Search for GC and double click instrument once found. Scroll to the bottom and click the Contract months field. Does an 03-17 expiry appear? If so, please then highlight the 03-17 expiry month in the new window that opens up and click "remove". Click OK to confirm your changes.

      Once done, please reload the chart and let me know if you see the same .

        Thanks for the prompt response.

        I have deleted GC 03-17 and the data is loaded correctly now.

          Make sure that you check that the 03-17 contract doesn't reinstall itself after an NT8 restart. This kept happening to me until I modified the database file as discussed in the later postings in the thread I referred to.
