NT8050 playback MR, incorrect timeline

SPY set to 24x7 in instrument settings


Connect to Playback.

Slide spy chart to the left with mouse wheel, this creates times on the chart based on 3 minute estimation.

Recorded Data doesn't start until 4am.

For once, the cross hairs are correct but the chart isn't.

Scrolling/adjusting the chart updates the timeline.

Probably nothing that can be done about this case. The timeline does update correctly when all bars are filled in.

I'm not sure what other types are affected or if anyone cares.

1st chart shows 3/10 data filing in under 3/9 after hours.
2nd chart shows when chart gets refresh and is updated correctly

What time zone are you in?

Are you able to reproduce the behavior consistently?

Are you on the latest version (8.0.5.1)?

Are you using a live license or the Free Simulation License?

Have you cleared the cache and historical data and attempted to reproduce?

Is historical data loading on the chart or is this produced from playback?
(Does this data show on the chart before playback starts?)

I'll send in 2/21 and 2/22 ^VIX data and reference the post.

I really guess there isn't anything to do in this case, a refresh would end up being too costly on a chart that isn't moving (would be ridiculous to update every bar and suffer performance hit) (and it already refreshes when the bars fill in).

I chart got a refresh at the end when I scrolled the mouse wheel to force an update, and the new time line laid in.

I guess it's an issue of not having 24x7 data on a 24x7 chart.

If so, are you able to reproduce this on any other instruments or just the SPY? Can you replicate on say the ES 06-17?

I’m unable to download replay data for the SPY for a test, could you please share the reply data via attaching the folder for SPY in your My Docs>NT8>db>Replay folder>SPY, in the form of .zip? (Right click on the folder>Send to Compressed Zip.
