    Can't submit SIM101 orders

    Clean chart of ES with about 5 days of 30 min data of ES and I get the attached error message when I try and put a limit order for a single contract. Happens also on 6B. SIM account has £100,000 in it so clearly it's not a margin issue . . . any ideas

    Hello sean003.5,

    Thank you for your post,

    To test, please reset your instruments, this will ensure that the internal setting for the instruments are up-to-date with server specifications: To reset your instruments please follow the steps below.

    * Disconnect from any active datafeed: Navigate to the Control Center > Connections menu, left-click the ‘disconnect’ button that appears to the right of any active connection.
    * Reset your instruments: Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Database window, left-click to expand the ‘Update instrument lists’ section, ensure ‘Predefined instrument lists’ is checked, then left-click the Update button that appears just to the right of the two options in this section.
    * Restart NinjaTrader.

    Let me know if you see the same after taking these steps.

      I've reset the instruments as instructed but exactly the same result. I'm able to create a new account which accepts orders but not the SIM101

        Thank you for your reply,

        Sorry to hear that didn't help, I appreciate the additional information. Because the issue is isolated to the single sim account, I suggest repairing the database.

        Disconnect NinjaTrader from any open connections via Control Center > Connections > Disconnect
        From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Database Management
        Click on 'Repair DB'
        Press the "Repair" button

        After this is complete, try testing the order again.

        We look forward to assisting further.

            Thank you for your reply,

            Please rename your database with the following steps :

            Shutdown NinjaTrader and Go to the Start Menu
            Select My Documents--> NinjaTrader 8--> DB--> NinjaTrader.SDF.
            Right click on NinjaTrader.SDF and select "Rename." *Name it "OLDNinjaTrader.SDF."
            Then restart the software and NinjaTrader will create a fresh database file to use
            Unfortunately the following items stored in the old database will be lost - Session templates, Instrument Lists / Custom Instruments, historical trade execution data, saved Strategy Analyzer backtest results

            Let me know if you see the same when submitting orders.
