Unable to import new script

When i try to import a new strategy I get an error message:

Hello,

Please follow the steps below to highlight the error, you can also use the steps below to exclude offending files or further diagnose what may be causing the error.

• Open NinjaTrader
• From the Control Center select the New menu--> select NinjaScript Editor
• Open any file using the browser on the right
• Right click in the window and select Compile to compile all NinjaScript objects
• At the bottom of the NinjaScript Editor window a new section will appear where you can find the error locations

You can exclude the file referenced in the editor by double clicking on the appropriate object type on the right of the NinjaScript Editor window. This will expand the object type folder. You can then select the file with a left click--> right click on the object--> then select Open to begin debugging the file, Exclude From Compilation, or Remove to delete the file.

If you are unsure as to what the error is indicating, please send me a screenshot of the NinjaScript File column and Error column fully visible (not to be confused with the Code column)

To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using Window's Snipping Tool.

Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screen shot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

Hi I followed your steps Then i get a T3 average error. I readdy dont know this indicator i Never used it. When i press 'exclude from complilation ' then i get even more erros (first i had one error now i have many erros. Whatcan i do best? when i try to reinstall ninja some files were saved and I still have this problem.

Thank you for doing that.

It looks like that is an Indicator but has been placed in the ChartStyles folder. This would create a problem. Please manually remove this file, and then complete the compile steps again to highlight any other errors and provide an image once again.

You can find the file in question in the following folder: Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\ChartStyles

After removed, you can compile and check for errors which there may be other errors as well. We can look into correcting those items after removing this.
