    Upgrading to N T 8 from NT 8 beta

    Hi
    I am trying to update my NT 8 from beta version to the latest version. NT 8.0.5.2.
    How is this done?
    I have Version 8.0.0.0.4-bit multi Broker-Beta
    And there is a lot of historical data for back testing on this computer. So what is the best why please to update NT and keep all this data for historical testing.

    • Shutdown NinjaTrader
    • Download NinjaTrader from the link below
      http://ninjatrader.com/GetStarted
    • Double click the downloaded file to execute it
    • Follow the on screen instructions
    • Restart NinjaTrader

      Downloading version NT 8.0.5.2

      Hi

      Thanks for the reply. I have followed this and the same thing that happened before happened again. Norton 360 did not allow this program to be downloaded.
      Norton say:
      Bad there are many indications that this file is untrustworthy.

      Is this file corrupted potentially? Norton says it is unsafe to download this file.

        Hello Tradewel,

        Antivirus programs can sometimes block all .exe files.

        I can assure you the installer for NinjaTrader downloaded from www.ninjatrader.com is a trusted file.

        If there is an ignore button, or download anyway button, go ahead and select this. If not, temporarily disable norton so the application can be downloaded.

          Re establishing FXCM data connection

          Hi ChelseaB

          I did this and was able to download it thanks.
          The only thing is that my FXCM connection was lost. I used this to download data.

          Please how to I get this connection to work

            Hello Tradewel,

            The account connections available will depend on your license key.

            FXCM has exited the US market and funded brokerage accounts cannot be connected.

            May I confirm you are trying to connect to an FXCM Demo account?

            (Are you showing NinjaTrader FXCM as a connection type in the drop-down when creating a new connection?)

              FXCM did show in the previous Beta version under connection type. I am trying to connect to a demo account & FXCM is not showing as a connection type in the drop down when creating a new connection. Can a new connection be added to the list like create a new one on the list? Then I could try to add FXCM to this.

                Hello Tradewel,

                FXCM Demo accounts (not funded accounts) can still be setup in NinjaTrader as long as the license key you are using is created for FXCM (or NinjaTrader FXCM if a NinjaTrader Brokerage license).
