Market Analyzer, problems loading several instrument at once from Yahoo

Hi!

I am using Yahoo as my data provider and I have detected a problem when loading data for several instruments at once. What happens then is that the program collects old data from the server (last days close) and won´t update anymore. But if I add the instruments, one by one, the program loads the correct values (last close) and the Market Analyzer will update correctly with last close according to Yahoo. Is there something I can do to fix this issue?

What version of NinjaTrader are you using? You can check under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.X.0)

How many instruments are you loading when this occurs?

Can you please post a screen shot of your Market Analyzer window?

Hi, and thank´s for the fast response!

I am using version 8.0.5.2.

If I try to load more than one at the same time it fails.
In the attached screenshot I have manually added the first 3 and then the other ones at once.

I would recommend upgrading to NinjaTrader 8.0.6.1. While there is nothing specific to your case in the release notes, running the latest release will help us to ensure this has not already been resolved.

To upgrade NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below.

• First get your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
• Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
• Enter your license key and press Submit
• Select 'NinjaTrader 8'
• Select 'Download'
• Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

Please let me know if this resolves this matter.

erm you're recommending WHAT?! You guys should be pulling 8.0.6.1 and telling users to roll-back, not asking them to upgrade! That release is a disaster.

Can you save your workspace by going to the NinjaTrader Control Center > Workspaces > hover over your workspace > Save As > name the file 'Support' > then go to Documents\NinjaTrader 8\workspaces and attach the Support.xml file to your response?

I create an Instrument List from your Market Analyzer and tried to add them one by one but I did not see any update either. Do you normally see updates on columns while connected to Yahoo immediately? If so, what columns?

In addition, please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred. You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support. Please list 'ATTN: Patrick H' in the subject line with a reference to this thread in the body of the email.

Have you found out what could be the problem? Maybe this could be solved temporary with a code snippet that generates a button that loops over the instruments and updates the barsrequests? Do you have some example for such a code snippet?
