Hello,

Thank you for your post.

With the latest version of the NinjaTrader 8 platform installed, version 8.0.6.1, you can connect to your Forex.com account.

I'm providing the steps below for updating NinjaTrader 8 to the latest version:

1. Go to the Control Center and click on Help -> License Key and copy your License Key
2. Close NinjaTrader
3. Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
4. Next go to this link -> http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect and paste in your License Key
5. Click the "Submit" button
6. Select NinjaTrader 8 for your version
7. Click the Download button
8. Install from the download file

I'm also providing the steps below for installing NinjaTrader 8, if you have not already done so:

1. Go to the Control Center in NinjaTrader 7 and click on Help -> License Key and copy your License Key
2. Close NinjaTrader 7
3. Next, go to this link -> http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect and paste in your License Key
5. Click the "Submit" button
6. Select NinjaTrader 8 for your version
7. Click the Download button
8. Install from the download file

By your response, am I to understand FOREX.com is now capable of live trading with NT8? My understanding was it was only available in Beta for sim trading.

You can trade live on NinjaTrader 8 with Forex.com/GAIN. This connection technology for NinjaTrader 8 is currently in beta mode.

Your information is never 100% accurate when it comes to Forex.com and it should be.

The connection guide mentions using demo accounts with NT8 and Forex.com, but when you contact Forex.Com they say demo accounts are not supported.

Does Ninjatrader offer demo accounts for Forex.com??

Forex.com demo accounts are not currently supported. We are working with Forex.com on having support for their demos.

For now, FXCM demos are still available if you're looking for free real-time forex data. A FXCM demo can be requested here:

I see what you mean about the Forex.com connection guide. Instructions on how to configure a Forex.com demo are included, however, there is no mention that they are not currently supported. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I will be reaching out to the Product Management Team about this to see if a clarification can be made.
