    Loss of performance

    Due to poor crosshair performance ( which I have already enquired about in this forum ) I have been lately keeping track of my PC performance while I trade.

    On average, while I am trading, my CPU usage for all the opened programs is around 5% when the crosshair is still on any open chart of my workspace and raises up to 12% when I keep moving the crosshair over a chart.

    Suddenly, my CPU usage ( just for NT8 ) is over 16% with the crosshair still, and over 22% when it's moving. Crosshair performance has also gotten much worse and slower.

    There isn't any noticeable change on CPU usage for any other program or app other than for NT8, and the workspace I have been working on is the same.

    Thank you for your post.

    If you clear out your NT8 cache does it return the cpu usage with cross hair to the original levels?

    To delete the cache, follow the steps below.

    Shut down NinjaTrader.
    Open the Documents > NinjaTrader 8 > db folder.
    Delete the sub-folder named 'cache'.
    Restart NinjaTrader and test.

    Please let us know if this returns the usage to the 5 and 12% you were experiencing previously.

        Sounds pretty normal.

        Are you in win 7/10?

        Did the latest updates download and install?

        Open resource monitor and watch that for Windows system tasks running in the background.

        I have 2 laptops, both similar class (msi ws60 & wt60 with win 7). The wt60 always had crushed the ws60 in replay by months over 3+ years of data. Last night,I installed the latest win 7 updates, and the wt60 came out 1 slower in identical replay by 10 minutes. Makes no sense at the moment. (Around 7 hours total).

          appolo112, I couldn't find the thread you're referring to in your first post where you had previously mentioned crosshair performance. Can you provide me a link to that thread?

            We just released R11 which includes performance upgrades to the crosshair.
