Just curious what would the SVG be used for? What is the use case so I could understand the core usage. Thx.

SVG is near-infinitely scalable with no loss of resolution. Wide scalability is pretty much its own use case. We can scale it up to a huge screen for demonstrations, or squinch it down to fit into a small booklet/ebook, all while keeping legibility.

I understand what SVG is ideal for, what I didn't understand is why the user needed it. If he intended to blow the screenshot up to a larger screen to view then that was the information I was looking for.

BTW -> SVG export likely just isn't technically possible.

SVG is kind of vector graph. It could could scale without loss.

If could not export as SVG, any possible export to other vector format graph?

Thanks, yes I understand what SVG is. My question was what was the use case for you actually using the SVG data. Were you planning to 'blow it up' and make it larger for some bigger monitor you have? If so why not render the chart on the large screen to start and take the screenshot from there? Just wanting to know the underlying reason so I can understand the use case.

There is no other format available for vector, when we take the screenshot we work in bitmap mode.

                Hello Brett,

                Thanks for reply.

The main purpose I use NinjaTrader is charting and drawing.

Charts are usually inserted into demonstration and study documents.

And before inserted, charts usually being edited via some charting software such as OmniGraffle.

Documents need to show on screens with different sizes, and published as printed paper.

The problem of PNG file in these use cases is that, I should export PNG for different media sizes and edit each of them.

This work take much time in same procedure.

So I was wondering if NT charts could export as some kinds of vector graph.

This would save a lot of time on duplicate work.

Thanks. Really hope NT team could consideration and add this feature.

Thanks for letting me know the use case. I understand that you document/journal your charts for future reference, and it would be easier if the exported image was in some more friendly 're sizable' format for such workflow. Thx.

Could this be considered as a feature in the future version?
