Any way to clear log data ?

    Any way to clear log data ?

    Hello,

    Is there any way to clear log during NT8 session or to clear it by user action at all? I access "log" directory when NT8 was active, delete all not locked files , only log for active session remained, but the logs from previous session remained in log grid. thanks.

    Unfortunately there is no such command within the platform. You would need to restart NinjaTrader.

        Thank you for your response.

        There is no function in NinjaTrader 7 or 8 to clear the log files automatically on command.

        You can remove them manually when NinjaTrader is shut down.

        Please let me know if you have any questions.

          The lack of a simple Clear Log function seems to me to be a major missing feature in NT. Are there any plans on implementing such a feature?

          The coding would be extremely easy to implement from within NT, since it is NT that has the lock on the log files. It was simple to implement in the Output window.

          Where could we request, or vote, for such a feature? Thanks.
