Sim trading not executing trades

Hi, I noticed that when i have orders set up in Sim overnight and the price hits my order price it is not executing. For example, in the attached picture i had an order to sell 1 ES contract at 2433 last night and the price went above that around 3:00 in the morning and did not execute. Is this something that can be fixed?

Thanks for helping Eric. NinjaTrader was not running/connected at the time the execution should have happened. I connect to Continuum for data feed

I see, this is due to NinjaTrader not being connected/running. Simulated pending or resting orders exist locally on your PC, so require this to fill or function as expected.

Live orders do exist outside of your PC depending on the Order State, so will fill if the price reaches them with NinjaTrader closed. Please see the below link of our help guide for more on order states.

Note: setting of NinjaTrader that modify orders such as Trailing Stops or Breakeven strategies do need NinjaTrader open and connected to function.

Thanks Eric for the explanation. Ok, it looks like i cannot use the sim for accurate fills on trades. Could this be included as a possible enhancement for future versions of Ninjatrader(To have resting orders on local machine matched up historically with price using a timestamp)? or possibly the ability to manually edit sim orders?

You can manually add the sim execution. To do this, go to the Control Center's Executions tab > Right click and select Add...
