    Making NT7 Market Replay FOREX Data compatible with NT8 - Is this possible?

    Heya,

    I paid for and downloaded Market Replay Forex Data from one of your partners. So now I noticed that they provide much more years' worth of data for NT7 than for NT8. For NT7, there's data beginning from 2014, but for NT8 mostly only starting from the end of 2016.

    Is it possible to convert the NT7 forex Market Replay Data for use in NT8 Market Replay?

    Thanks for writing in to our Support team.

    When migrating your NinjaTrader 7 files to NinjaTrader 8, it will automatically convert all of your replay data into NT8 format.

    You can re-enable the migration prompt by opening your Config.xml file located in your Documents --> NinjaTrader 8 folder and looking for the line that begins <MigratedNT7> and ends with </MigratedNT7> and deleting the entire line. Save the config file and then relaunch NinjaTrader 8 and you should be prompted to migrate your files again.

    If you would like to see the option for on-demand migration, please let me know and I can submit the feature request to our development team for consideration.

      Thank a lot for your support, you really helped me.
      Another question: do you know or could you check with your team if there's a way to do the reverse, i.e. converting NT8 Market Replay Forex data for use in NT7?

        There is no supported method to convert NT8 replay data to NT7 format - I will be submitting this as a feature request for our development team to consider implementing in future releases of NinjaTrader 8.
