    USA Forex Brokers

I'm seeing a lot of conflicting information about what forex brokers are actually supported with NinjaTrader 8. Whenver this question is asked, people are always directed to this page, which as far as I am aware, is the only list of supported brokers: https://ninjatraderecosystem.com/Brokers

But that doesn't exactly clear things up. The first option listed is NinjaTrader Brokerage, but when you click on it, it just takes you back to ninjatrader.com. And when you click on "Get Started" and then "Open Account", it takes you to http://ninjatrader.com/OpenAccount which only lists Forex.com. So, is NinjaTrader Brokerage not a thing? Or is it just a Forex.com account that you slapped the name "NinjaTrader Brokerage" onto? I see no way of obtaining any actual information about the NinjaTrader Brokerage services specifically, which frankly seems really sketchy.

The next broker listed on https://ninjatraderecosystem.com/Brokers is FXCM, which isn't an option for USA customers.

Next is TD Ameritrade, which is a forex broker, but apparently NinjaTrader can't trade forex with them? According to this forum post (http://ninjatrader.com/support/forum...ad.php?t=96268) "You can only use Futures and Indices on NinjaTrader with TD Ameritrade" (which, by the way, isn't listed anywhere on either the NinjaTrader or TD Ameritrade websites).

Interactive Brokers apparently doesn't do margin forex trading in the USA anymore (http://news.forexlive.com/!/interact...ept-1-20160812). Not to mention their account requirements are rather harsh (minimum $10k USD deposit, high minimum number of trades, high minimum commission total per month, and an expectation that you are a millionaire).

As far as I can tell, MBTrading doesn't trade forex. There is not a single mention of forex on their site.

Which just leaves Forex.com. The NinjaTrader website appears to favor Forex.com, but the Forex.com site doesn't have a single mention of NinjaTrader anywhere, which is concerning (although it DOES mention MetaTrader, the rival of NinjaTrader, which makes it sound like they are less than supportive of NinjaTrader). Even then, the NinjaTrader connection guide page (http://ninjatrader.com/ConnectionGui...nnection-Guide) says that the Forex.com connection is still in beta ("Please note that this NinjaTrader 8 connection is in beta"). So does it actually work? Is anyone here using Forex.com with NinjaTrader 8 with success? I'm not going to lie, a beta connection is not exactly reassuring. How consistent is the connection? What are the flaws that are still keeping it in beta? Will the connection randomly drop? Will my orders not be executed correctly?

So, with all that being said, what brokers are USA customers using to trade forex with NinjaTrader 8? It seems like there is not a single good option. Forex.com seems like the only option that might work, but I'm very hesitant to trust my money to a beta connection.

    Hello somedonkus,

At this time, GAIN Capital/Forex.com is the only supported forex broker for US residents. NinjaTrader offers an introducing broker relationship with GAIN Capital and you can learn more by contacting our brokerage team directly:
    • brokeragesales[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com

NinjaTrader also offers an introducing brokerage relationship with FXCM, but these accounts would only be available for non-US residents. Similarly, Interactive Brokers only offers spot forex trading for non-US residents.

Be aware that Interactive Brokers offer spot forex trading for some non-US residents. If you happen to live in Australia you cannot trade forex through IB! The situation changed about 2 years ago when IB fell foul of the market regulator ASIC.
