    Strategy not displayed .

    I have Activated a strategy. but when I look down I do not see in in the display. Normally it did but now i disappeared. Do you know what could be go wrong?

    Thanks for your post.

    The screenshot shows the strategy on the chart, note that in front of the strategy name is (D) which indicates that the strategy is disabled. If you have enabled by checking the "enable" check box on the strategy and it immediately disables you should check the "log" tab of the control center for any run time error messages produced by the strategy.

        Thanks for your reply.

        In the NinjaTrader8 control center, at the bottom side of the control center window are tabs for "orders", "Executions", "Strategies", "Positions", "Accounts", and "Log". It is possible that the tab(s) may have been deleted. If this is the case you can add the tab back in by click on the "+" tab at the bottom of the window and selecting the Log tab.

          Hi, Normally When I opened my NT8 I would have in the strategy tad my strategies displayed. They are not active but I could activate then with the 'Enabled'' button. But now they are not their anymore. I have to open the strategy (with my right click op the chart then open the strategy and enable it. Why does it not displayed on the strategies section anymore?

          I can not find anything in my logs as you supposed:

            Thanks for your reply.

            Please send your log and trace files into PlatformSupport[at]NinjaTrader[dot]Com so I can investigate this. Mark the e-mail Atten: Paul and include a reference link to this thread.

            Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your e-mail

            Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
            Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
            Attach the 2 compressed folders as attachments to the email.
            Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

              Hi,
              Today I've encountered the same issue as MichaelAlexander. Strategies were on my list and I could enable and disable them. At one point after disabling them they just wanished from the list and I can only enable them from chart.
              Sometimes one strategy remains on the list, but later it is being replaced by another one and after app restart it is missing again.
              I've attached a screenshot (strategies Can03 and Can06T are missing on the list, but are visible on chart EURGBP).

                Thanks for your post.

                What version of NT8 are you using (look in Help>About)

                If you right mouse click on the strategies tab, do you have "filter only active strategies" checked? When you look at "Filter by account" is "all" checked?

                  I'm using version 8.0.12.0.
                  When strategies disapeared from the list, first I checked the function "filter only active strategies" and it was checked. So I unchecked it and it did not make any difference.
                  So I tried to restart the application and checked/unchecked it several times without any change. But at one point after unchecking it the list of strategies came back. So for me it looks like some kind of glitch in this functionality. Nevertheless currently it is working fine. Thank you.

                  You can try it by yourself:
                  1. enable several strategies
                  2. check (make active) "filter only active strategies"
                  3. disable all strategies at once from strategies tab
                  It should result in one inactive strategy on the list, when there should be none.

                      Hello InteRadek,

                      Just to update, I was able to recreate on both builds and have submitted as a bug which is identified at NT8-12626, "Strategies tab shows inactive strategy when filter "Filter only active strategies" is enabled.".

                      I will update this thread when I have further information.

                        Just to update you.

                        The bug fix to NT8-12626 did not make it into the just released 8.0.13.0 but is scheduled for the next release.
